Flip-cam Hitchhiking

A brief movie of my various hitchhiking, bussing and taxiing trips in Mexico and Guatemala.  Recorded on a flip ultra hd camera.

  1. NIma! I loved this video of your adventures. Then I followed backwards through time all your Latin American travels. Your spanish got so good! I'm so glad you have such a terrific time, meeting so many people. A fine way to travel. I hope you get your Iranian passport soon.
I wonder if you'll make it back to Great Spruce Head Island this summer?
I look forward to more adventures!

  2. Wow, fantastic video Nima! So well edited. Is this really your first time using iMovie? When you were going over that huge river at first I thought you were still on the back of that sheet rock truck. Yikes!!

  3. So good to hear from you, Elizabeth! I'm glad that you in particular caught this post, I remember that you had also hitchhiked through Mexico and had an amazing time. Next time I'm in Maine (or you visit Boston?) we'll have to get together and share stories. I'm not sure if I can get the week off to cook at great spruce head next summer but I sure would like to. I hope you're having a great fall.

And Amanda - thanks for praising my editing chops! Since I'm already versed in final cut, iMovie was easy to learn. Yeah, that sheet rock truck was scary - bits of sheet rock flying everywhere and I kept thinking that if he accelerated fast, I and the sheet rock would just slide off the back. Didn't happen!
